In order to assist me in the construction of my new column, The Saving Throw, I'd like to know what Tabletop RPGs (like Advanced Dungeons and Dragons) or CCGs (collectible card games, such as Magic the Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh) that you guys play.

Also, if you know whether or not said games are still in print, and who published/publishes the game, that would also be very helpful.  Thank you.

i haven't played anything in awhile but my favorites have been
D&D - published by - Wizards of the Coast, yes it's still in print (okay you probably knew that one)
Vampire:  The Masquerade - published by - White Wolf, has changed to some other Vampire game so...no not in print
Big Eyes Small Mouth - published by - it appears that this game is published by a company named "Guardians of Order" but i could be wrong on that, it's still in print though and just entered it's 3rd edition
Deadlands - i think this is published by Pinnacle...i don't believe it's in print anymore but i could be wrong...there's also a CCG of this game that is also made by Pinnacle and (i'm pretty sure) no longer in print
CCG's well...i think M:TG probably goes w/o saying so...
only other one i play is "Versus" (the superhero ccg thing) published by Upper Deck and still in print

also i play Heroclix (not so much an RPG or CCG but it's on the same line so i thought you might want to hear about minature games as well) - published by WizKids

I played M:tG at one time, quit when the Ice Age expansion ended.  Have heard it's gone way downhill since that.

As for PnP, I've tried, but it hasn't ever turned out well.

I cardflop with Magic: the Gathering.

I dicechuck with Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu. (Well not anymore, but I did once upon a time.)

I guess that makes me a... flucker.

I've been trapped in another dimension playing Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition, RIFTS, Shadowrun and a bunch of other more obscure games.

I've also sucked at Magic: the Gathering, and am known to be an easy win in Yu-Gi-Oh!.

I used to play DnD back in the day.  Haven't been in a game in years.
I was a rules judge for Yu-Gi-Oh! over a year ago and had a few decks but I sold all my cards and haven't followed the sets for a while now.

Well I played DnD A year, or something, ago. Then Black compny D20, Star Wars D20. Have tried multiple systems from G.U.R.P.S. and Vampire to Kobolds Ate My Baby.

CCG only one: M:TG. Passed judge exam but slacking on my judging duties. Placed 5th in my Nats and thinking to go to Worlds, but Japan is so far away. And I would have to get a loan to get there. But not everyday you can get the chance now isn't it?

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the pokémon TCG.  I used to collect it fervently, but fell out of it a few years back, simply because it was getting prohibitively expensive.
Nowadays I play the Inu Yasha CCG, though the community for it around here is pretty small.

I'm also surprised nobody's mentioned the RPGA.  I can't be the only one playing Living Greyhawk  o_o

Oddly enough, ye might be.  I don't know many who've touched the greyhawk setting, living or none, even among folks who've been D&Ding for 20+ years.

Know it like the back of their hands?  Sure.  But played it?  Nope.

I've yet to finish a game of alternity.  Seem to have bad luck with GMs vanishing in that game.

LARP Vampire? Wow. Freud would have a field day with that.

For the record, I have played AD&D since 2e, (although d20 is a horrible system), have occasionally enjoyed BESM despite its total lack of balance, have sat through a single session of Vampire, have on rare days flipped a few Magic cards, and honestly find Exalted to be the Best of Show. Oh, and there was that horrid Final Fantasy RPG that my friend found on the 'net... Also, I own the books for GURPS and the LotR RPG, but have never played either. The latter scares me; I wonder if its makers have even read the books.

I have been playing D&D for a long while now, and the D20 system is a very good system its just that they still need to fix a few kinks, hence thats why they are now at the 3.5 system. And some of the spells in the books make no sense? oh well...   Anyway to get back on topic, yes D&D is still very much played today and is even bigger than i can remember it!  (at least where i am).  Playing an rpg on console is great, but to have full control of your character or being able to Control the setting of an entire world is Brilliant in a game!!!  GARY GYGAX RULES!!!!!!!!!

Weapons of the Gods was just released, I really enjoy this system. I demo'd it at GenCon, where the creator was running games.

It's published by EOS Press.

I am really into Dungeons and dragons 3.5 and magic the gathering. I think that it would be cool if you every once and awile did a feature on a game that is not well known so that people can learn about it.

I'm a Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Dungeon Master. I also play BESM (Big Eyes Small Mouth) d20 revised (meaning it works with D&D 3.5 rules).

Play 3.5 D&D every Sunday, and am running the 4th part of my 5-part campaign in the Spring (I've been DMing for the past 3 years). I would certainly welcome the chance to share some of my quests/adventures, as that would kind of validate all the hundreds of hours I spent making them. =P

I also played Magic: the Gathering pretty fervently back in high school, although not so much anymore. Despite the fact that I haven't bought any cards in the past four years, I still read the Magic website every day.
