You know, in FFXI, the GMs say you have to take a screenshot of the offensive text and send it to them.  Only, taking such screens means using third party programs that violate the ToS.  Someone called a GM on this and they just grinned.  That's sort of how all MMOs are in this respect, it would seem.

Nah.  Mythic is awesome about busting heads in DAoC.  From what I hear, EQ2 has some tight CS too.

you talking about the PS2 version? Because last I checked a Windows screenshot doesn't go against the ToS since it's the platform you're supposed to run the game on for a PC.

edit: You could always just use a digital camera and take a picture of your monitor/tv. No software involved in that.

edit take 2: after actually reading the letter at the end of the column, I'd also like to state that I'm a strong advocate for eliminating idiots from the genepool...preferably without anesthesia (sp?)

A little known fact(well to most people) about Windows is that you can copy the  current screen to the clipboard by pressing the "Print Screen" key.  The trouble is you can only take 1 screenshot at a time this way since hitting the key again(without pasting the shot into a photo program) will just erase the shot you took before.

I've done it before with some PC games I wanted screens of but exiting out everytime I want to save a shot is a big pain XD
