Pokemon Ranger is published by Square Enix?
Are all Pokemon games published by Square Enix? Were they always?

Because that's the first time I see it, and I don't know what to think of it.  :/

Looks like you'll finally be able to play Iris in Atelier Iris 3...here's to hoping the second game is great, and that the third will come here too.

No, most are both developed and published by Nintendo, and always have been.

I copied and pasted that row of the chart from Valkyrie Profile Lenneth and filled in the names.  I just missed something.  I'll update it.  *sigh*  Hard to do a column without a single mistake in it.  For that matter, Yggdra Union is Sting.  At any rate, the column has been updated.

Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria Artifact box has now sold out. It went onSale March 27th, and has seemingly sold out in 4 days. I was feeling some slight regrets when I ordered it on the 28th, that maybe I should have waited (Himeyashop charges full amount when you place your preorder) but those thoughts of regret have now seemingly subsided....

As for my source, just check various stores like Amazon.co.jp, playasia, and himeyashop. They all say sold out.

Wow. That's some crazy stuff.  I'm not surprised though.  This stuff never lasts long.  I wonder if it could still be found in a place like Niihama?  At any rate, thanks for the info.

Nooo, don't kill the culture corner. It's my favorite part of the column too. I'll try to send some more letters, although the first two apparently got chewed up by the spam filter... third time's the charm right? :o

So glad to hear that about Valkyrie Profile! Lenneth did pretty well for a remake, didn't it, hanging on the charts so long? I just LOVE VP, and its re-emergence has me delighted beyond the capacity to coherently express my feelings on the matter.

Edit: Xerain has my respect as being a bigger fan than I am, even :)

Relativity sure is funny. I'm considered a big VP fan, but then I look at my VP merchandise and compare it to the vast volumes of what exists... and I've actually spoken to people on forums who own quite a bit of it, compared to what I have.

I only actually own the Original VP, the Original Sound Track, the two volumes of Story manga, and have preordered the Silmeria artifact box... compare that to the vast volumes of VP merchandise.

What follows is what I remember off the top of my head. I'm sure there is more that I don't know about and escapes my memory.

First there is the Material Collection, the two volume art book for the original game. I believe you got a copy of this with the original artifact box for VP1. Also, it can be purchased separately, I wonder if there are still any copies left.

There is the 2 volume story manga, which I mentioned, the Lezard Centric Dark Alchemist manga, and tons of 4-koma manga.

On the Music Side, There is the Original Sound Track, which I have, The rerelease of it, which is pointless for me to get, The Valkyrie Profile Arrange Album, the Valkyrie Profile Voice Arrange Mix, and The Valkyrie Profile and Star ocean The Best Album, which most people normally write off as a mere highlights album that would be inferior to woning the respected sound tracks for the game. However, it is my understanding that this is not the case, as the tracks that are on there are double looping, as sound tracks should be, instead of the play once and fade that is present on the VP OST.

Also, there was some video game music compilation album where various notable video game composers all contributed remixes of of some of there songs. Motoi Sakuraba contributed a rather nice version of Mizu to Hikari to Kaze no naka de (In Water, Light, and Air, the music that plays in Hai-Lan) for it. I believe the name of the compilation Melody of a Legend~Dream.

Then there is Motoi Akuraba's live Star ocean and Valkyrie Profile concert album and DVD. a coupe tracks from it were used for some of the added boss battles in SOTET Director's Cut.

Let's see... then there is the VP trading card game...

I'm sure there are various phone cards and pencil boards...

I think there was something other art collection, that had a featured story on this site, that had some of the nicer pieces from the material collection art book, but at much higher quality. Like fifteen images, but much bigger.

Oh yea, can't forget the VP calender that shipped with the Japanes preorder of the original game; tri-Ace has long since posted it on their website for download, I wonder if it is still there.

Last but not least, the VP trading Arts statues are coming out in June.

So far this has all be official stuff. I'm not even touching the various Doujinshi material out there.

Also, this is all stuff for the original VP, not the new stuff release with Lenneth and Silmeria, such as the Visual Collection preorder bonus and rerelease of the OST.

Also I guess I can start mentioning the sales figures (73,000 copies of VP1 outside fo Japan) but... *gets shot*

I miss my old prettiful sig.

It would seem the Playasia is still taking pre-orders for the artifact box. This is probably becasue that are charging $9 more than elsewhere. Also, they are based in greater asia (hong kong, I think) so the Japan based retailers will probably recieve preference in terms of shipments from teh manufacturer. It menas if the game is over sold, then they odds of you bein ghte one to not get a copy would go up. Fortunately, playasia does not charge for preorders until they actually ship the item.

Himeyashop, where I purchased mine, has already charged my credit card for it (as well as those of a couple other people who have ordered it from them).

I miss my old prettiful sig.
