I'm curious what it's price point will be, and if it will be like how the GBA and DS were before the SP and Lite, respectively. I held off on both of those until the second iteration were out, this might be the first time I get one close to launch.

I recall when they revealed it at E3 that they did say it will be backward compatible with original DS games. Probably DSi enhanced and DSi only games too, since it has the cameras.
