i would like to know more about how the game plays, but I suppose that'll come later. i wonder if my mystery dungeon senses are tingling...

I liked three of the main four sections of Half Minute Hero. Never quite got around to the RTS part with the evil overlord, but the game was generally amusing and unique. I'll be putting Jikandia on my list of games to consider for 2011.
I hate time limits with a burning passion, but that's partly because I'm a control freak, so if I have control of the time limit... but then I'll be too conservative and what about RARE ITEMS... ::implodes::

According to gameFAQs, Jikan de Fantasia was developed by Idea Factory, not Opus.Originally titled Zikande Fantasia in Japan, the game was developed by Opus Studios, creator of Half-Minute Hero.

Well Half-Minute Hero was made by Opus Studio & Marvelous Entertainment.
While Jikandia appears to be made by Opus Studio & Idea Factory.
Now I can't actually tell how much they all were involved in developing, or just publishing the games. But Opus Studio had a big part in creating both at the very least.
GameFAQs is partially wrong. I don't know how much Idea Factory was involved beyond publishing, but if you check the Japanese site it lists Opus and Idea Factory as working on it.
And I've told you before and will say it again, Half-Minute Hero's time limit thing is not like other games. At least not for the Hero 30 modes, they are just simple fun bursts. Now Hero 300 and Hero 3 modes would likely drive you insane.
