On the subject of Atelier game scores in Famitsu and whatnot: Meruru is not actually the first game to score that high. The first two games, Atelier Marie and Atelier Elie, both scored 35 or so (I think Marie might've pulled 36 actually) when they came out in 1997 and late 1998, respectively. Which only means that Meruru is the highest-scoring Atelier game in over a decade. That's still fairly incredible and I'm very curious to try the game now.
I have to admit, though, Esty in this game annoys me a bit. She in no way looks like she's 40 years old, she looks like a teenager still. So much for having to make Rorona look "old" if they didn't turn her into a kid...
I had no idea the first two scored that high O_O; I kind of assumed they'd scored lower, just because they don't hold much of a candle to the gameplay refinements in later games of the series.
The Pokemon movie bonuses are as follows:
- Preorder and get Victini with 3 bonus moves - Reshiram/Zekrom's trademark moves as well as the ungodly broken V-Create.
- Players of White version get Reshiram (previously Black-exclusive legendary)
- Players of Black version get Zekrom (White-exclusive previously)

thanks for filling me in. The online article I read was focused on the regular bonuses, not the pre-order one.
Thanks for another great installment.
ToHeart2 looks interesting.
I'd love to get my hands on Meruru.
