My copy (with the nice red Classic Controller Pro) has shipped and if the UK postal service is kind to me it could arrive as early as Thursday. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
I need to order mine. I haven't messed with the wii to make it playable yet though, so I suppose I need to cross that bridge first.
Check out my fledgling youtube channel. It's small now, but if I get more subscribers I will start doing more with it, so stay tuned!

I guess the only reason NoA won't bring this stateside is because they want the Wii to die!?
It's possible but the thing is that the Wii U dropped support for GC games.
Never buy a game published by D3 Publisher that is not WKCII. They cheated on their fans by releasing a game that they didn't support not even for a year and they released a rushed translation.
I think sales of the European version will be okay, but nothing hugely popular, if Nintendo of America is basing their localisation on how well it does over there.
Mine is on its way from the UK as well, although it'll probably be sometime next week before it reaches me. Can't wait, everything about this game looks fantastic.

Out of curiosity where did you order your import from? I'm looking for a good place to order from.
What I have seen and done to achieve my position defies belief. What I am capable of and will be party to in order to retain it would chill your soul.
The game does seem to rock an impressive nature. Let us all know what it's like later on. My backlog is haunting me and taking up all my time. But I can live vicariously through all of you if you care to share.
Play whatever makes you happy.
I ordered mine from http://www.game.co.uk and have no complaints so far. They actually started shipping the game out to foreign addresses yesterday. Judging from their web page, it looks like they still have some of the special edition with the red controller in stock, too. I've talked to other people who used http://www.zavvi.com and say they're reliable.
It sounds like there is a chance of it coming to America after all. If all the importers help the European sales but then don't buy the American version when it comes out, what will happen then? They'll NEVER make another American game again. UWAAAAAA!

Ah, it seems I sold my Wii way too quick.

This game looks fantastic. After reading a couple reviews I feel like I need to put other games on hold to play this only I wonder if it's worth importing it and trying to soft mod (keyword: trying) my Wii.
Between this and VCIII not being available, I'm really starting to get frustrated.

I will be importing the EU version. NOA not announcing this yet is absurd considering the translation is already complete. Add to that the pressure Operation Rainfall put on NOA and the proposed desire to cater to "core gamers" with the Wii U and the lack of announcement for this is even more upsetting. I rather send my money to Europe and the accents will be more fun as well!
I must say I'm delighted with the voice acting!

I'd prefer not to mod my wii so I'll wait in hopes that there be a US release eventually.
To anybody who's interested in importing this but is hesitant about modding your Wii: you should at least look into it. Contrary to what some people want you to believe, it is easy, safe, and legal, and the only thing you need is an SD card (and a reader for it). The only downside is that you'll void your Wii's warranty, which has already expired if it's more than a year old.
I don't really want to mod my Wii since I am a big Virtual Console fan. I am afraid something that I want (like Monster World IV) will be released, and I will need a system update to play it. These games (TLS, XBC) will be my new "Terranigma"...great RPGs that I will likely never play legally.
So... This may be a dumb question but will the EU controller work on a US console?
I'm thinking of getting this... It doesn't seem that hard to use a SD card to make it playable.

I'm not sure about the controllers but the SD mod using lego star wars was literally one of the easiest things ever.... the hardest part was finding an old SD card (you can't use SDHC or at least it wouldn't work for me).
