If you were told that the Diablo III Collector's Edition contained a demon skull would you be the least bit surprised? If anything, we should all be more surprised that hell has frozen over because Diablo III will actually be out soon.

I want this. How diabolical is Blizzard's DRM?

Just waiting for Amazon to start accepting pre-orders. Looks about the same as the SCII CE which was a crazy amount of value for a $20 upcharge. No brainer this time either.
Persistent online connection for Diablo III. No offline play is currently planned. There was an article and discussion about this a month or two ago.
If you don't like that then I suggest looking into Torchlight.
So long & thanks for all the fish!
If you didn't preorder it yet, you probably won't get the chance. Amazon's pulled the pre-order button. You could do it during Blizzcon, but no more.

A lie would be considered the truth if only more people believed it.
Maybe it's just a Canadian thing, eh?

The deal for getting Diablo 3 for free in return to a year commitment to WoW is pretty sweet, too.

An excellent deal assuming you have an active sub at the time of purchase, all expansions, merged your account with Battle.net, are paying with your credit card, and have met with all of these requirements prior to Oct. 18th (according to their FAQ); otherwise, you're out of luck. Even if you do qualify, it's $90 or so worth of dead time between expansions, with maybe a month or two of 4.3, for a game that should sell for $60 or so.
Not disagreeing with anybody, I'm just providing a reality check.
I always get the collectors editions for blizzard games, they are the only physical versions of PC games I buy anymore

"I remember back when FF9 was coming out. People were rejoicing because it was actually a fantasy game and not a sci-fi game like 7 and 8. It's especially hilarious given modern context, with everyone wanking themselves to dehydration at the thought of an FF7 remake." - Masterchief
TG, in my case, as someone who casually plays WoW, I can view it as a way to get access to it and also get Diablo 3, for cheaper than I'd get them separately. It's definitely not for everyone, but it does have a certain appeal to it.

For me I really like that skull with the soulstone usb, I wonder why it only has Diablo 2 on it and not the original as well?
