Looks like Imageepoch is using the Corrupt Church trope again. Well, Arc Rise Fantasia was actually a very interesting and original take on it(to me, anyway. It's probably been done before somewhere).

I'm more concerned that they are reusing a lot of themes in their recent games. Last Promise Story, Black Rock Shooter, and now this game all have really dark plots where it's the handful of survivors versus the crushing invaders.

That hero who sits in his parent's basement game sounds interesting - if it is the case that his adventurers are all unique characters (as opposed to generic ones like Ettrian Oddessy or Class of Heroes), it could potentially be really good. ...Although probably with a lowish chance of being released outside of Japan.

All of the characters shown have their own names and personalities listed. I didn't write them all out mainly because this IS a niche Japanese title, and the column is wordy enough as it is.
