Had to happen at some point, I suppose. At least Dark Souls is peer-to-peer IIRC, so this won't be a problem there, but it's been one hell of a ride, that Demon's Souls...

I hope they do one pure black and one pure white. Then I can at least make a couple default saves of each for playing the game on my lonesome.
I already paid my dues. I got the god damned platinum on that game. I don't know if I want to play Dark Souls because I can't start it and not platinum it.
So does this just mean that you won't get the online capability or does this mean the game won't work anymore? Okay... so it WILL be playable after the servers go down. Whew... I was afraid they were killing the game itself and I was about to panic.

It just means the online stuff won't work. So, no crossing over to other people's games or leaving notes to/reading notes from other people. Otherwise you can play it normally. And there are no trophies that require online either, IIRC.Originally Posted by reionpremente
