Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time Arrives at the End of July

After years of begging and waiting, fans finally know when the wait for the fourth entry in the Growlanser series will end. Of course, now fans need to wait more than a month for that day to arrive, but that's life.

Atlus's shameless fluff sentences, for the record: "This part you're reading now is just a fluff sentence; this whole release date paragraph looked a bit weak on its own (more of a sentence, really). I figured it could benefit from some textual fluff to make it into a much cooler paragraph. Fluff, fluff, fluff."

I spy Reimi from Growlanser 3. Also, I had this paid off months ago, so I'm pleased it's arriving soon. Now if only Atlus would cut out the fluff when it came to telling us whether or not they're going to give us Growlanser 1 and Growlanser 6...

I had an import copy pre-ordered, but the Planetaxel bankruptcy, means my order is cancelled. I'll just buy it from the US PSN store.

I'm really enjoying Gungnir now, so I'm considering a purchase of this Day 1 as well. I might let it sit for a while, but I really want to support the PSP and the awesome games still coming out for it..

Considering one is a 5 year old PS2 game and the other is a 3 year old PSP port of a PS1 game I believe the answer you seek would be a "NO".

Are these loosely connected enough that I can skip 2 and 3? I have both of them in my games case, but no chance of getting to them anytime soon.

It is not connected to 2 and 3 so you can safely skip those for now.

Yeah, the story in IV appears to be stand-alone from what I learnt through my preview research.
