The Portable Versions of PS3 RPGs. I mean, who WOULDN'T want the power to play some of those gems on the go?

    Lets see here...

PS2 Remasters: Not too interested, since I have most of them already.

PS3 Portables: Not at all. Again, I already have the ones I want.

Upscaled PSP: Possibly. If this means we can see games like Type 0 and Zero No Kiseki, then that would be a big selling point for me. PSP RPGs that already have an English release do nothing for me though.

New Originals: Yes please. These could be either good or bad, but a few exclusive original RPGs could really help bolster the Vita's library.

Returning Franchises: What I voted for. I'd really like some see some old series come back to life, and what better way to do it? Ys Celceta, Anything Legend of Heroes, and any potential resurrection of something like a Wild Arms or Suikoden, for example, would be too good to pass up.

Any turn-based tactical game. I don't think there are any yet.

Certainly! The more, the better. Call this #1 on the list.

    Returning RPG Franchises
Depends on the series, but if they're good then yes. A new SMT, new SaGa, new Dragon Quest, new Atelier, new Suikoden, new Breath of Fire, or Bravely Default... I'd love any of those. Lets make this one #2 priority for my list.

In addition to original RPGs, I'd love to see PC, XNA/XBLIG and Steam games brought over. I'd love to play OTRSPOD3/4 on the Vita. Also BOD7 and CSTW. If Spiderweb brought any of their games over, I'd probably finally get an excuse to play them. Or the Aveyond games. Tied for #2 because I hate playing games on PC.

    PS2 RPG Remasters
If they're games that I haven't played yet. I'm very excited for Persona 4, but not so much about Final Fantasy 10. Suikoden 4 and 5 would be great.

Though, a remaster of the 3 Grandia PS2 games would be a must buy if it were to come about despite finishing most of them. Priority #3 because it's harder to play a PS2 game than a PS3 one.

    Portable Versions of PS3 RPGs
Maybe. There's slimmer pickings on the PS3 compared to the PS2 though. I haven't finished the PS3 Atelier games. It might be fun to have Fallout 3 or Skyrim on a portable system. There are PS3 games I'd love to have portable just because I never have time to play them on PS3. Folklore for one. That'll never happen because I think the company that made it folded. Priority #4 because they're likely to be not as much of an improvement when compared to PS2 games brought over, and it's easier for me to play PS3 than PS2.
    Upscaled PSP RPGs
Hmm... It would have to be one that they couldn't bring over to the Vita via Emulation, or would need to have really big improvements. if Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean 1 & 2 were brought over, I'd buy them just because they aren't on PSN. I'd put this at #5 on the list.

I have to go with new RPGs, either orginals or new entries into beloved series. But most importantly, new games. I have my other systems to play old games, and since I'm not picky about graphics, I don't need to get a game again just for that.

One caveat on my #5 position for PS3 RPGs. I would count new RPGs that are setup for cross-play between the Vita and PS3 as #1 on the list along with other new RPGs, rather than #5 with the other PS3 games. If they added cross play to a ps3 game I haven't finished, then that would push it up too. but for a port that doesn't cross-play with the PS3 version? Meh.

I'm all in favor of PS3 ports. Ideally, Sony should have made the current generation of consoles (home and portable) 100% compatible. They didn't, but the next best thing is for a large catalog of PS3 games to be ported to Vita.

To be truly interested in a system, I want it to have exclusives.

I have a PS2, PS3 and PSP. Ports and remasters aren't vital, but I can't deny I'd buy a lot of those too.

Where is the option for good RPGs? I don't care to discriminate any further than that.

When it comes to handhelds, good RPGs aren't an option.

You're right, it's the ONLY option.

    "New, original RPGs"

.... How about "New RPGs that aren't utter rubbish", or RPGs that aren't some sub-genre trying to incorporate in new audiences, or taregt people who don't normally play, or people who just want to dip their feet into an RPG. But how about one for the people that go out of their way to get a minor in Japanese, just so they can play games that weren't able to make it stateside, or to see what's lost in translation in "Tales" games, etc. How about an RPG for the people that remember when Diablo, Zelda, etc. Weren't considered RPGs, how about an RPG for us?

Shall we assume that for the sake of argument all the options are of roughly the same "quality" as putting an option for "good/rubbish RPGs" here wasn't exactly going to achieve much? Shall we also assume that there are other people with different tastes and that calling everything outside personal preference rubbish is a generally useless statement (even though those who do like those games are oh so obviously wrong)? :P

Anyway with regards to the current results, interesting that "New, Original RPGs" has over 50% of the vote. Curious to see if in hindsight that what people do end up preferring, personally wouldn't be at all surprised to see a much greater appreciation overall of returning franchises at the end of everything.

    all of the above?

I voted for ports of PS3 RPGs, with the caveat being that I'd want to be able to transfer saves between them. Being able to take your game with you, make some progress, then resume on a larger screen is incredibly nice.

Wow, your post is a reminder that we haven't had a new poll in almost 2 months.

I want that game where you put your fingers on it, and then your fingers are in the game.

    Whoa.

Returning franchises or even the chliche'd "spiritual successors" would be fine with me. It's always struck me as odd that there haven't been more attempts at 2D downloadable titles on PSP and now Vita.

New, original RPGs gets my vote. I'm looking for new expereiences and new ideas to take advantage of the hardware. Sure, having the older games work on the new handheld upscaled would be nice, but there's more power there and should be taken advantage of.
