Oh wow, I didn't know Kemco made another game in the style of The Sword of Hope (the sequel was just released last week on the US 3DS virtual console, by the way). Guess the fact that it's Japanese was a factor in that. Makes me wonder if there's any more. They're pretty decent games, but the battle system, at least in Sword of Hope I & II, is rather slow, with noticeable pauses between text and animation.
Considering what Fantasy Life looked like before the transition to 3DS I wonder if a 3D Mother game could have ended up looking like that.

I don't know how likely it will be for Fantasy Life to get localized, but I'm hoping it does. It looks it like it might finally scratch that Animal Crossing itch that it rather tired of the actual games. :P

- Nah, Fire Emblem: Awakening
Wow I was thinking that game looked like Sword of Hope. Didn't know it was actually related

The story of that "Catnip Chronicle" sounds suspiciously similar to Studio Ghibli's The Cat Returns.
I heard that Professor Layton's "London Life" was a prototype for "Fantasy Life"... not sure how accurate it is.

Dragon Quest X is only a few weeks away now. How are the hype levels over there?
