North American Souls to be Hacked in Spring

Cyberpunk, gothic horror, demon summoning COMPs, and a silent protagonist. Yep, it's a Megami Tensei game all right. North Americans will finally be able to play this entry in the metaseries in the near future.

Saw Atlus' Facebook update with this bright and early this morning. My excitement for the game (and SMT IV) is enough to overshadow any misgivings I have about plunking down money for another new handheld system.

I, too, hope they find a way to bring over Eternal Punishment. North Americans seem to pretty much adore the recent Persona entries, but I'm not sure how many fans were dedicated enough to pick up the PSP remakes of 1 and 2.1. Would they be able to re-fit the new one as a North American Vita release, considering its unfortunate timing? I don't think the Gamestops around here even carry or purchase back PSP games anymore.

I pre-ordered as soon as I read the email. The first half of next year seems to be shaping up nicely release wise. I really need to buckle down and get some of my other games done before the end of January.

Trust me, it's best you let go of all hope for this one now.

I've liked most MegaTen spinoffs more than the main games so I'd definitely give this a shot if I owned a 3DS.

No kidding. I'm planning to pick up Fire Emblem as well but I think Atlus has most of my handheld gaming sewed up for the next year easy. Between this, EO4, plans to pick up a Vita and P4G in the next few months, and if my dreams come true SMT4 sometime next year, well, I'll be real pleased with myself if I manage to knock all that out before 2014.

Preordered in the wee hours this morning. I always like to support these releases with a quick pre order. Looks good.

I'll buy anything with SMT on the box. The Devil Summoner games are my least favorite in the series though, how much is this like those? Either way I'll be getting as I didn't regret playing them, just curious. The video is pretty laggy on this laptop but it looks turn based, so guessing not much.

I dunno, most of the work was already done for the PS1 version wasn't it? I'm not really sure how Gungnir and Growlanser sold though.

I certainly wouldn't hold my breath for it though.
