    SaGa, Tales, and Dragon Quest were the three series I was thinking of when I typed that

    And 閃 isn't quite as uncommon as 藍 (Ao). It's certainly not as uncommon as 那由多 (Nayuta).

    It also makes an appearance in SRT, as Vysaga's Wind Blade (風刃閃 - Fuujinsen) & Light Blade (奥義·光刃閃 - Ougi: Koujinsen)

    I think 煇 is the oddest I've seen used. Thank Tales, specifically Graces F, for that one.
