Harvest Moon creator Wada-San's new Hometown Story game just oozes old-fashioned warmth and comfort. Natsume even seems to have hired the Werther's Original guy to narrate the trailer.

2013 for all regions.
What system? It looks like it could be for 3DS.

Nothing officially announced, just "handhelds" for now.
Previous press releases have said 3DS and unspecified mobile devices, I'll assume the 3DS part is still true until we have official confirmation or denial. I'll edit in the 2013 release (releases weren't clear on that).

Outlets may be reporting 3DS, but it's never been in our press release -- and having written the only two to come out of Natsume for Hometown Story, I'm pretty confident saying that. Can't take responsibility for Toybox or RSG; that being said, I'm not dissuading anyone from making clearly logical guesses.
*Cough*
Yeah, the releases I read were from Rising Star.![]()

Note to self: murder RSG.
Yeah, just double-checked, and it says: "With characters designed by Atsuko Nishida, the artist behind Pokemon and music composed by Nobu Uematsu of Final Fantasy fame, the collective talent bringing this game alive on 3DS and other mobile platforms guarantees that it will delight gamers." I knew I pulled that from something official.
Also, there's this from E3 last year, so I'm guessing it's not a state secret.

Okay, just checked, apparently it was added to the release at the last minute, it's confirmed as 3DS and unannounced mobile. My bad, carry on!
PR sounds hard.![]()

Across three continents and companies it can get a little...complicated ^.^
And yeah, the magazine ad took a short in the dark and happened to be right. I didn't want to post that, I got overruled :P
I guessed it was 3DS because of on one of the screens it was showing you to use the X button to do one of the tasks and similar to something I think I've seen in 3DS games.
