    Steam still has annoying DRM. You have to be online to launch games on it unless you have the foresight to enable offline mode in advance. It's not as irritating as the always online method, but it's close.

    And in the end, it's still DRM. It's still having to ask for permission to install and run a game.

    Agreed. I'm not specifically against Steam as DRM but I do recognize it as such. But if I have the choice between GOG and Steam, I always choose GOG. DRM is an unnecessary evil no matter how much the industry tries to pretend it has any value.
