On Ibb and Obb, If you guys finish Level 14, you'll have to show me how you finished it. I've been stuck on it for months.

Of course, I've been playing it in Solo mode as a challenge.

13 made sense to me. I read every bit of the extra codex stuff for the game though. You are right about it essentially being mediocre anime, but I like mediocre anime once in awhile. Battle system... I like it better than most rpg battle systems.

Also, I played FF6 for the first time after beating FF13, and at every step of the way, 6 reminded me of 13. from the pseudo-linear tutorial sections where you split off with 1-3 characters from the group and go on a little sub adventure, to the big finale where you get all the characters together and you can go all over the place in a damaged world, doing subplots and sidequests and building up for the final battle. FF6 did the story and game structure a little better, but had an easier go of it because of the benefits inherent in 2d animation at the time. FF6's battle system isn't as good as 13's though. I can't really remember any other game in the series other than 13, 6, and 4 that had anything like this structure. 4's was less so because it always focused on Cecil instead of splitting off.

    Your welcome about Eschatology. ^_^

Here's a link to the song Chris played for me. You only heard half of it because the podcast is in monaural and the song was in stereo.

Well the song should have downmixed properly to mono, so I don't know that I'd say you heard half of it....but sure.

Also, it looks like there IS a FFXIV Christmas event. Look what got posted today:

No, when I heard it, I only heard one of the two guitars throughout. No problem. Thanks for playing it.

Hey Chris, if you think space mining is being worked on too soon, compare it to this.

I'd love to see the people who sign up for a one-way trip to friggin' MARS!

Hey Sabin, I noticed you downloaded Toro's Friends network. Let me know if you want any help on it. It's a bit of a "pay or grind" sort of free to play game, and if you end up paying anything for it... I want to help people avoid the trap of buying useless items that I fell into early on.

I liked the half of what I heard, Zoltan, I always dreamed of my own theme but was also too embarasssed and self-conscious to really go through with it, lol. It's nice to have Anna back on the show. I agree that, yes, sometimes mediocre anime is good

It seems there's always a mid-week change or announcement when I'm running a few days behind on listening to weekly podcasts.

In this case, I (new and shiny to FF14) was listening to to the second half of the "There isn't a Christmas event" discussion the morning after an evening spent walking past snowmen and twinkly lights. ;-)

Last time that happened recently, I was listening to the speculation about the Atlus announcements all all the new Persona stuff was revealed.
